Our Family Trip To The Pumpkin Patch

Thanks to Darwin Barton

Our favorite fall activity is visiting our local pumpkin patch. This year, our new little boy will be joining us! It was just this time last year that we learned of his impending arrival, and now he is here to enjoy the holiday as well.

We are planning to leave the house at two o'clock, but who knows if we'll make it at that time. It seems with a baby and small children, we are always running a bit behind. We'll have to make sure we set the home alarm system from www.allhomesecurity.com/adt-home-security-equipment.html before we leave, because I forgot to set it one time before.

The pumpkin patch is also a local farm stand where we are regular customers. We plan to pick out pumpkins, one for each member of the family. We also are picking up some fresh squash, Indian corn, and corn stalks for decorating.

We are going to ride the hayride as well. This is one of the best parts of the day. The farm owners take us around his farm and we see how all the pumpkins are grown. It is a relaxing ride around a beautiful country farm. What could be better than that?

There is also a corn maze and a haunted trail, but we'll skip those this year. The kids are still a bit too young for those things. Maybe next year!
